Terms of use
The ground rules for the Ruvia apps and this website. The same text is in the apps.
Draft · last updated 19 October 2026
This is a draft. The company behind Ruvia is still being registered, so its name and contact details will be added here before the apps launch publicly.
Using the apps
Ruvia is free for visitors. By using the apps you agree to these terms. Please don't misuse them: no abusive messages or reports, no fake listings or bookings, and no trying to get at other people's data.
Places and bookings
Listings are written by the businesses, which are responsible for them being accurate. A booking is an arrangement between you and the venue; we pass requests and replies along but aren't a party to it. Opening hours, prices and specials can change: check with the venue if it matters.
For businesses
Each listing has its own subscription (monthly or yearly), shown before you pay. A listing is visible to visitors while it's paid up and published. You can cancel any time; it stays live until the end of the period you've paid for. Specials must be honoured as described.
Taking things down
We may take down a listing, event or special that's misleading, offensive or reported for good reason, and we'll tell the business why. We may close accounts that misuse the apps.
Liability
We work to keep the information right and the apps running, but can't promise either is perfect. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from relying on a listing or from the apps being unavailable. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act.
Changes and law
If these terms change we'll say so in the app. South African law applies.
This website and its assistant
The chat assistant on this site answers general questions about Ruvia. It can make mistakes, so the apps and these terms are what count. Please don't use it for anything unrelated or try to misuse it.
