Things to do in Knysna
A lagoon town between the forest and the Heads, known for its oysters.
About an hour east of George
Knysna is built round a wide lagoon that meets the sea between two sandstone cliffs, the Knysna Heads. Behind it lies the biggest indigenous forest in South Africa.
Spend a day on the water, eat oysters at the Waterfront or on Thesen Island, and a day in the forest or on the beaches either side of town.
