Things to do in Wilderness
Lagoons, forest and a long golden beach, just over the hill from George.
About 15 minutes east of George
Wilderness is a small village between the sea and a chain of lakes and lagoons, with forest on the hills behind it. Part of it is the Wilderness section of the Garden Route National Park.
It's a place for being outside: walking forest trails, paddling the river, watching paragliders come down onto the beach, or just taking the beach itself, which runs for kilometres.
